Commenting Guidelines and Suggestions

Sharing our learning means that it is very important that we understand how to use the blog and the internet in a secure way. No student pictures will be identified with names. Student work (without the student in the picture) will only be identified by first names.

Comments are welcome and encouraged! Here are some commenting guidelines and tips:
- All student comments should have first names only. Parents who leave comments are asked not to use last names either. (Please post comments as “Blake’s mom” or “Megan’s grandfather”, etc.)
- Always write in full sentences with correct grammar – no “text talk” please!
- Proofread your comments carefully. Students may want to have a family member check for spelling or grammar mistakes before submitting a comment.
- All comments submitted have to be approved by Mr. Salsich before they are included on the blog. Inappropriate or sloppy writing will not be approved.
Example of a quality comment
Here is an example of what a high-quality, descriptive comment might look like:
Dear Classmates,
I really enjoyed the Balloon Tower Challenge! It was hard to not be able to talk, but overall it was a lot of fun! I kept cracking up when the balloons would slip out of people's hands, though. They kept flying all over the place making that funny noise, and I couldn't stop laughing. My team might have been able to make our tower even taller if we hadn't been laughing so hard!
What was your favorite part of the challenge? I'll be honest, my favorite part was all the laughing.
Your friend,
Bobo
